I've moved! Head over to http://brittanylandgrebe.com/ for up to date posts on what I'm reading, what I'm working on, and more fun things.

Paying It Forward

OMG someone has honored this blog with the Kreativ Blogger award! I never expected for this blog to gain many readers, let alone receive any sort of award. But it has, and I'm thankful to have been thought of. This is really one for my readers, who have helped shape and direct the flow of thoughts I post.

This award is not meant to be hoarded, however, and so there are rules:

1. Copy and paste the pretty picture which you see on the top left corner onto your own blog.
2. Thank the person who gave you the award and post a link to their blog.
3. Write 7 things about yourself we do not know.
4. Choose 7 other bloggers to award.
5. Link to those 7 other bloggers.
6. Notify your 7 bloggers.

The wonderful Karen Quah over at http://moderndaystoryteller.com/ is the one who passed on this lovely award to me, and I thank her dearly for considering this bog worthy of such a kind gesture. Karen is a journalist, playwright, screenwriter and script editor, and also kept us up to date on her progress with NaNoWriMo. Her blog is full of insights and humor on everything from movies and writing to women's rights and civil disobedience.

Okay, now for 7 things you may not know about me....

#1) I married my husband on my parent's wedding anniversary, something I'd always wanted to do.

#Blue) I think holidays are the most fun when you're a kid or have kids.

#S) I switch out my choice beverage periodically. For a while it was coffee, then it was diet caffeine free coke, and now it's chai tea.

#Llama) My first celebrity crush was on Taylor Hanson, and I was devastated when I found out he'd knocked up his girlfriend and married her.

#Celery) I've only purchased two adult genre books in the last three years - I gave them as gifts.

#Dirigible) I watch Nickelodeon and Disney more than any other channel.

#Triangle) I sometimes have a hard time deciding. On anything. I'm usually the last to order at restaurants, unless I know I'm sticking with my usual.

So yeah, those are some odds and ends about myself. And now, drumroll if you please, my choices for Kreativ Blogger winners!

#Wheel) The Ramblings of a Hopeful Artist, by Amanda Gignac is a wonderful blog I frequent for random tidbits of news, thoughts on writing and life, and some great humor. I met Amanda through NaNoWriMo, and she's a great motivator to get words on the page.

#2) The Garden City LENS, by Jeena R. Papaadi is an interesting stop on my regular reads, with advice on blogging and reviewing books to excerpts from her collection of short stories of life in Bangalore.

#Zebra) On the Write Foot, by K.C. Collins is full of short and sweet but poignant thoughts on one man's journey in writing. Some posts make me think "Totally!" while others make me stop and really think, without shorting out my brain with overload.

#Indigo) The Bloggess, by Jenny The Bloggess is the funniest blog you well ever read. EVER. Not for the faint of heart or the conservative, Jenny is one hilarious chickadee who says the most inappropriate things and wears a lot of wigs. I mean, come on, she declared WAR on the KING OF GERMANY. Made of Win, that lady is.

#E) Fig and Plum, by Jessica is a blog I've been lurking around on for a bit, but I doubt she has a clue of my lurking. Right now the interwebz is alluding her, but I love going back and reading her previous posts about hobbies such as knitting and cooking, or thoughts on news.

#Pencil) The Zen Leaf, by Amanda Gignac I realize this is the second one for Amanda, but really I love her book review blog. I normally only read Young Adult, but since getting to know her and browsing through her reviews my interest in other books has been piqued. A great place for recommendations on what to read.

#Squash) My Blog, by Johanna Harness is likely my favorite blog to visit for inspiration, insight, and ideas. To get the true essence of her, I must also mention she is the creator of the #amwriting hashtag, and a great mentor to all those who follow her. On more than one occasion she's helped me out of a writing bind or pointed out to me the reasoning I needed to relax. When she can't tweet it, she blogs it, and it's a place everyone should check out.

And those are my choices for Kreativ Blogger! Really, there are so many other blogs I love to follow, but those are some of my regulars. I tried to mix things up a bit, despite all the writing ones lol. I hope you go and check them out, get inspired and write, knit, cook, or read. Now get to it!

Shit, I meant "parents' anniversary". (Anal about punctuation and spelling!)
