I love to read, as I've mentioned before. But because I enjoy a specific genre, I sometimes get a little annoyed that some questions I always have are never answered, or that those answers are unimaginative and overused.

So, I decided to write my own book. Its still only a rough outline in my head, but I've recently been able to flesh out some important parts on paper. The most difficult thing for me is that I normally write very well when I'm editing, and find it hard to start from scratch.

Thats why, a few weeks ago, I bought a book to help with writers block, "The Writer's Idea Book" by Jack Heffron. Its pretty good at giving you a start direction for your thoughts. Not many of the prompts helped directly with my work, but I sometimes go back to read an idea and incorporate it into a character or a subplot. There are even some that I've put aside for future books.

I've been lucky the past few days - the muse has seen fit to visit me, and I've gotten a lot off work done. Its one of the main reasons I haven't been around to blog lately. I was getting a headache, and whenever I get a headache, I can't keep working on my book, because then I'll just ruin it.

What's my book about? Well, I don't want to ruin the magic of an untold story, but its a fantasy young adult novel about elves, humans, and mythical creatures. Sounds stupid? I hope not. I have personally been waiting for a book like the one I'm writing for years, and I hope a lot of people read it and everybody likes it.

Well, I've just thought up a great scene for the book, so off to work!
